Ruben Creus, CEO of REVO ZERO, joined the EVs for Everyone podcast to explore the limitations of battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and present an alternative: plug-in fuel cell (pFC) technology. The pFC system, as featured in REVO ZERO’s concept vehicles, combines the advantages of BEVs for short trips with the extended range of hydrogen fuel for longer journeys, offering up to 700 miles of range and a refueling time (with hydrogen) of 7 minutes. Ruben argues this hybrid approach promises a more practical transition to hydrogen fuel by requiring fewer refueling stations along major travel routes. Ruben also shares his strategic plan to build a hydrogen station network, starting with highways and expanding through partnerships with airports and municipalities and also mentions REVO ZERO plans to manufacture their vehicles in Detroit.
